In Florida they like to keep it simple. Why have 4 seasons when you can whittle it down to 2? They've just got a wet season and a dry season, and both of them have their perks. Take a ride inland from South Miami, and you'll soon find yourself getting into Florida's famous Everglades. This massive wetland region is made up mainly of sawgrass marshes and mangroves, and hooks in adventurous travelers looking to get up close with some of its toothed inhabitants. Alligators lurk happily in the fresher swamps, while their brothers, the crocs, prefer the salty mangroves.
