The friendly city of El Segundo awaits you
Enjoy the museums and other features of El Segundo. This welcoming city is known for its hockey games, beaches and shopping. SoFi Stadium and Venice Beach are just a couple of the must-sees in the area. A vacation rental can help make your stay complete—many rentals come with a full kitchen and laundry facilities.
El Segundo’s arts and entertainment
You can get a taste of the famous – or infamous – Southern California car culture at the Automobile Driving Museum, where 130 vintage rides are kept in mint condition. A screening at Old Town Music Hall, where classic silent films are shown with live organ accompaniment, is a must for film buffs; the space also hosts regular jazz and ragtime concerts. Culture vultures can get their fix at ESMoA, the El Segundo Museum of Art, where you’ll find a rotating collection of contemporary artworks.
Surf, turf, and beyond in El Segundo
Surfers and sunbathers will find common ground at the sandy El Segundo Beach. Adrenaline junkie? Check out Dockweiler State Beach, where die-hard thrill seekers flock to the popular hang-gliding concession. It’s also one of the few stretches of Los Angeles County coastline where you can build a bonfire without risking a fine. El Segundo also boasts a number of fancy shopping malls, and the pedestrian-friendly downtown is packed with restaurants, bars, and music venues. Cycling is popular, so an El Segundo vacation rental with bike storage offers a low-key – and low-cost – way to see the sights.
It’s (almost) always sunny in El Segundo
So maybe it isn’t always sunny, but El Segundo’s warm, arid climate is in full force throughout much of the year. With average highs in the mid-seventies, the summer months tend to be warmer, but the higher temperatures from July to September also bring bigger crowds and steeper prices. December, January, and February are the wettest months. While winter highs are still in the mid-sixties, you’ll find that rates for El Segundo vacation rentals tend to be lower at this time of year.
Scenic El Segundo
A crescent-shaped cove on the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Monica Bay makes up the western boundary of El Segundo. The city limits include almost a mile of sandy beach, with a rocky jetty that serves as a landmark for local surfers. A beachfront bike path connects El Segundo with Manhattan Beach to the south Marina Del Rey in the north, and a wide swath of coastal sand dunes have been set aside for the El Segundo Blue Butterfly Preserve, where eagle-eyed observers can spot specimens of the endangered species.
