It's dotted with small towns—Princeton's in the south, while Bridgewater and Somerville are right in the middle. There are plenty of parks to escape to in and around the county, too. At Sourland Mountain Preserve, you'll find great hiking in the spring, summer, and fall and a cross-country skiing haven in the wintertime. Travel in the region is easy, with both the I-78 and I-287 interstates crisscrossing the county.

The nearest airport is in Princeton, NJ (PCT), located 12.5 mi (20.1 km) from the city center. If you can't find a flight that works for your travel itinerary, you might consider flying into Manville, NJ (JVI-Central Jersey Regional), which is 3.3 mi (5.3 km) away.
If you prefer to travel by train, Somerville Station, Raritan Station and Bridgewater Station are the main stations in the city.
